Jon Yost MD

Dr. Yost was raised in Bandon, Oregon.  After graduating from Bandon High School, he attended Oregon State University.  From there, he attended Medical School at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.

Dr. Yost was trained in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center, in Washington, D.C.   After finishing his training in 2003, he returned home and has been a part of the Bay Clinic family ever since.

Dr. Yost is the Doctor of Record for the Coos Bay School District, and for the Educational Services Division (ESD).  In addition, he is the pediatrician for Community Connections, a local outreach of the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC).  He has received special training to identify children with autism in our community through a pilot program.  In addition to caring for children with developmental needs, he enjoys all aspects of well child care, including chronic disease management, sports medicine and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.

Dr. Yost and his wife enjoy watching their one son and two daughters grow and mature.  He is now a proud “Bulldog,” yet he supports all schools and their extracurricular activities.  He enjoys camping, rafting, paddle boarding and biking.  He is an avid reader.  Currently, he is interested in history, but enjoys just about any book given to him.
