Impetigo

Impetigo is a superficial skin infection caused by bacteria.  It can look like small to large blisters filled with pus, or a rash that looks crusted by "honey".  It can be treated by antibiotics.  It is spread by contact with the skin.  It can be prevented it by good hand-washing, and avoid touching the rash.  Call us if you are concerned that your child has impetigo.
